Highly Capable Screening and Assessments for 2021-22 Students in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade will be participating in universal Highly Capable screening in their regular classroom this fall. Students in grades 2-4 can be screened if they are referred to the Highly Capable department by October 15th at 4 pm . New Pickup Procedures From Canyon Creek Elementary communication on August 20th: Due to the increasing size of Canyon Creek Elementary's student body, teachers will be using the Skyview Middle School driveway to dismiss our 3rd-5th grade students. Canyon Creek Elementary  Arrival & Dismissal Times In Northshore school district, we have early release Wednesdays. These are days when students are released 1 1/2 hours early to allow for teacher planning, collaboration & meetings. Most Wednesdays of the school year are early release days.  The other exceptions to the normal release time are for elementary conferences - there are 5 days in November and one day in February (noted with an "e" on the school district one-page calendar ) where elementary schools have early dismissal for conferences.   Community Serve Day Success!   Many, many thanks to the nearly 70 volunteers that came out Sunday, August 22nd and helped get our school ready for students and families. We aimed to beautify our school with several outdoor projects: pulling weeds, cleaning up beds, laying down mulch in beds, adding new play chips to the playground, adding more sand in the sandbox and painting the 4 four-square areas and tether ball lines.
