From the original post

Come see cool applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), such as mentos geysers, a laser waterfall, match-powered Viking ships, and build-your-own rubber band cars. For blowing off a little steam, we'll even have an electronics disassembly station. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about how science and math power some of the most amazing experiences we have today. Come try each one to win a prize!

STEM hands-on learning with real-world applications helps develop a variety of skills, such as media and technology literacy, productivity, social skills, communication, flexibility and initiative. It also helps kids develop problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision making, leadership, entrepreneurship, acceptance of failure and more.

This is a great opportunity to stimulate kids' interest in these cutting-edge fields, leading to future personal skill development and possible career path choices. Come give your kids a taste of the incredible world of STEM!

This is a volunteer driven event! We NEED volunteers to help run the stations for kids to explore. No need for any special approvals for this volunteering, just sign up and show up to help! Our STEM chair has put together all of the stations (and materials needed), but we need several volunteers to run them! Shifts are ONE (1) hour, and your student can help run the station with you - and then you can explore the other stations together! Responsible high school students are welcome to run stations too!

Volunteer at this Event!
