As a part of our biggest fundraiser of the year, there are friendly competitions for both INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS and CLASSES! Cap Collection Update - 40th Anniversary Mosaic!
Celebrate Canyon Creek Elementary's 40th Anniversary We will be commemorating our anniversary with a Mosaic Art Installation put together by our students, staff, volunteers, and community. Help us to add a beautiful piece of art to our school while promoting recycling. This is a great activity for kids and parents to do together while learning the history of how mosaics began. Reflections Program 2017-2018
The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. Students of all ages and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2017-2018 theme: "Within Reach"   Compete in: DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY, FILM PRODUCTION, LITERATURE, MUSIC COMPOSITIONS, PHOTOGRAPHY &/or VISUAL ARTS. Become an Art Docent - UPDATED!!
Did you know that our schools don’t provide art teachers due to budget constraints?  To ensure there is still art in our school, our PTA provides monthly art lessons in every classroom through the Art Docent program! Isn't that amazing!?!  We rely on MANY volunteers to keep the program running. Volunteering to teach art is a great way to get into the classroom and support art in our schools.  You Do NOT Have to Be An Artist or a Teacher!!! Join the Library Brigade - UPDATED!!
Library Brigade Needs Volunteers for Every Class! Our PTA coordinates a group of volunteers who assist the Librarians at Canyon Creek. We call this group of Library Assistants, our "Library Brigade"! The goal is for EVERY   class at the school to have a Library Assistant EVERY week, which allows the Librarians to spend more time with the children, reading to the class, helping each child to pick out just the right book for them, or helping them with the computers (older grades).  The Library Assistants will help with: checking class books in and out student check-out & inquiries distributing & placing holds ... read full article

The 2017 Great Pumpkin Race is coming on Monday, October 23rd! Hosted by the North Creek High School & Bothell High School Cross Country Programs. The National Park Service is once again offering the Every Kid in a Park program for fourth graders that will allow free entrance to more than 2,000 federally managed lands and waters nationwide for an entire year! Woodinville Storehouse Food Bank This year, our Fall Food Drive (October 23rd-27th) is collecting donations for Woodinville Storehouse (WSH). It is a non-profit organization serving residents in Woodinville, Bothell, Kirkland, Kenmore and Redmond. Located at 17110 140th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA 98072, WSH is open on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:20pm and Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:20am for families in need of assistance.
