Kickoff Pizza Party - There is still time!

It is NOT too late to come to the Watch D.O.G.S. Kick Off Pizza Party on Friday, September 22nd from 6-7pm in the Cafeteria.

If you didn't already RSVP, please email our PTA Watch D.O.G.S. coordinator Michael Richards to let him know - so we ensure we have enough pizza and beverages for everyone!

Bring your student(s) and we will provide FREE pizza and share lots of great information with you!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  To make this the Watch D.O.G.S. Kickoff Pizza Party a great event, we will need some volunteers to help with setup, serving food, cleanup & watching the kiddos while the Dads (and other father figures) get the information about Watch D.O.G.S.!  http://signup.com/go/sjxApkV

Who are the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)?

  • Dads
  • Grandpas
  • Step-dads
  • Or other father figures

What do the Watch D.O.G.S. do?

Spend a whole day at school being a role model for kids:
  • Volunteer in their student(s)'s classroom as well as others (up to 4 classrooms in a day!)
  • Enjoy lunch with their kid(s)
  • Help at lunch and recess by chatting or playing with kids

Program Benefits

  • Students gain a positive male role model. Some students do not have a father-figure present in their home and the number of male teachers has been steadily declining in recent years. More positive male role models are needed in the school setting.
  • Schools gain an extra set of eyes and ears. The presence of Watch D.O.G.S. can increase a sense of security for students and staff, and it helps create an environment conducive to learning.
  • Fathers spend meaningful time with their students in school and gain a greater awareness of the positive impact they can have on their student's life, just by being a "dad".
  • When Watch D.O.G.S. invest a day at school, they can learn how better to partner with the school to meet educational goals of students.

How do I learn more?
