Become a Part of the Library Brigade!

Our PTA coordinates a group of volunteers who assistant the Librarians at Canyon Creek. We call this group of Library Assistants, our "Library Brigade"!

The goal is for EVERY class at the school to have a Library Assistant EVERY week, which allows the Librarians to spend more time with the children, reading to the class, helping each child to pick out just the right book for them, or helping them with the computers (older grades). 

The Library Assistants will help with:

  • checking class books in and out
  • student check-out & inquiries
  • distributing & placing holds
  • placing returned books back to the shelves

The librarians will train incoming Library Assistants!!
