This year, we have an opportunity to bring books to families needing assistance within our Canyon Creek Community. Scholastic calls it All for Books.
Starting November 1st through December 1st, donate any loose change, or dollar bills, with your student to class in a marked envelope with their name and teacher. Your student will be given an “All for Books Donation Book Slip” that they will write their name on and all donation slips will be proudly displayed in the library hallway. The students will be able to see their progress in giving back to the community.
All of the money collected goes directly to purchasing books for families needing assistance within our school community.
The All for Books money you collect also helps readers beyond our community. Scholastic matches monetary donations with a donation of up to one million books. The books go to national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping families in need. These organizations include Kids InNeed Foundation, Reader to Reader, Inc., and the National Center for Families Learning.
