PTA Membership Meeting Recap

October 18th

Thanks to everyone who joined us in person for our first PTA Membership meeting of the year. It was great to connect with current and new PTA members and hear from our principal about the latest updates at Canyon Creek.

We covered a lot of ground but here's a few highlights:

  • We formally elected Nicole Trimble as PTA President & Liv Gorman as VP of Communications
  • We approved our updated Mission & Goals, our updated Standing Rules, the Budget for 2022-23 (amended), and the financial reports.
  • Principal Doyle gave an update about APEX Fun Run results, and some behind the scenes details of planning school wide events and fundraisers. And most importantly, what it feels like to be silly stringed by an entire teaching staff.
  • We heard from our membership team.  We already have 303 members, and our goal is 350. Help us reach and exceed our goal!
  • Our Advocacy chair spent a weekend at legislative assembly, representing our PTA!
