On Tuesday, May 24th (via zoom), we had our final PTA General Membership meeting of the 2021-22 school year. We had a good turnout and were thrilled to have representation from Canyon Creek and Skyview in attendance to answer questions for our membership.

More details to come, but save the date for Wednesday 8/24 for Ice Cream Social & Parent Night at Skyview. First day of school for 6th Graders (and WEB leaders) is Wednesday, August 31st, 7th & 8th Graders will start Thursday, September 1st.
Election of 2022-23 PTA Board
The membership successfully voted nominating committee’s slate. The slate included all positions of the executive board except the PTA president for next year.

Approval of 2022-23 PTA Budget
Our PTA membership approved the budget for the 2022-23 school year, so programs and events can start over the summer and preparations for the school year can begin.
Book Swap Information
Donations for our Book Swap are being collected in a bin in the hallway outside the main office. We received a generous donation of several hundred used books and the Literacy Chair is sorting through those! Go through your books and drop them in the box. Membership Report
As of 5/24, we have 326 members in our PTA.
WSPTA Convention was the weekend of May 20-22
Several of our current and incoming board members attended the convention either in person or remotely. The in person attendees helped to vote in changes to the WSPTA bylaws that govern our PTA. The classes taken at convention are not only required for board members, but also a great way to build leadership skills and gain an understanding of how to run a non-profit business.
