What is Math Challenge?

How Can My Student Participate?

Math Challenge is a free enrichment program for Canyon Creek Elementary students.

How to participate in the Math Challenge Program:

• Access the current challenge from the MathInAction website (click blue button on right under PTA logo). Print it OR view it online and work on separate paper, whatever works best for you. You will have until the next challenge date to complete it.
• The challenge solutions will be posted along with the FOLLOWING challenge.
• A Google Form will be used to track participation. Parents will validate against the solutions released and submit results by filling out a Google Form. (See schedule for links to Google Forms for each challenge.)
• Check out the Schedule of challenges, Solutions & Results Submission Deadlines (also displayed below). Available online as well.
• All students who participate will be recognized on our Math Challenge “Wall of Fame” (class, first name and let initial will be included).
• All students who participate in 9 or more challenges will win a prize at the end of the year. We also recognize the classroom with the most participation each challenge.

NOTE: Students requiring printed challenges due to no internet or printer access, maybe request them by emailing mathchallenge@canyoncreekpta.org OR sending a note “Attn: PTA Math Challenge” to the teacher, they will pass it on to us! Just make sure to turn in the paper copy of the Math Challenge to the teacher, on the date the solutions are released (check schedule) OR for those with internet, you can grade them using the online solutions and submit them on google form. Please note that there may be delays in receiving the printed challenges.

Look for the results about a week after the solutions for each challenge are released.
