Community Serve Day Success!

Many, many thanks to the nearly 70 volunteers that came out Sunday, August 22nd and helped get our school ready for students and families. We aimed to beautify our school with several outdoor projects: pulling weeds, cleaning up beds, laying down mulch in beds, adding new play chips to the playground, adding more sand in the sandbox and painting the 4 four-square areas and tether ball lines. In addition to all that, our volunteers helped 12 teachers prepare their classrooms for students.

Much gratitude to the following families and individuals: Alanis family, Antone family, Cao family, Dankwah family, Girad family, Hertzog, Bartlow and Curiel Mager family, Hough family, John family, Kull family, Moon family, McKenzie family,  O'Neill family, Tan family, Fong family, Barnes family, Smith family, Trimble family, Zimbalist family, S. Waldrop, J. Murugan, and S. Simpson.

Special shout to to our school administrators and staff that helped run the event: Mr. Denton, Mrs. Doyle, Mr. Graff, and Mr. Mayberry.

Lastly, this event was made possible with a partnership between Northshore Community Church (NCC) and NSD. Thanks to Kathy Flugstad for her leadership through NCC and our site leaders, Tim Hodgson and Melanie McKenzie.
