Chess Club is starting soon on Tuesdays in the Canyon Creek Library. Chess club will involve a short lesson, followed by chess matches. Children will be grouped on skill level. Students will go directly to the foyer outside the library at dismissal. They can have a snack in the foyer and enter the library at 3:55 p.m.
Thanks to everyone who has signed up. Confirmation emails have been sent to those who have registered. Information about payment has also been sent. The $40 club fee is due by 1/8.

Volunteers will need to be available from 3:30 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. Volunteers may help every week, or every other week. If you volunteer for a club, your child will definitely get a spot in the club. No experience is required. $40 club fee will be waived if the caregiver is volunteering at the club.
We are requesting that children sign up for only one of the chess activities at Canyon Creek (either the PTA Chess Club on Tuesday or the Orlov Chess Class on Thursday). This is to allow more children access to the activities. If you register for chess club, you will not be allowed to register for the Orlov Chess Class on Thursday, unless there are unfilled spots at the end of the registration period.
Children may pre-register for both chess club and LEGO club. If they are selected for both in the random drawing, the caregiver will be contacted and asked to choose one. This is to allow more children access to the activities.
