2019-20 Back to School Ice Cream Social

Wednesday, August 28th

Canyon Creek Elementary and Canyon Creek PTA
invite you to join us for this opportunity to tour the school,
meet your student's teacher, enjoy an ice cream treat, visit with friends,
and start the school year with some fun!!

We expect lots of CC families to attend this community event.
If possible, walking or carpooling is encouraged.
Overflow parking is available at the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center.

SCHEDULE:

3:30-4:00pm -- New Family Tours

• New Family Tours begin in the foyer outside the office at 3:30pm. Check out the campus, ask questions, get directions to your students classroom. 
• *NEW* We have Parent Ambassadors available who can help families who are more comfortable with the following languages: Korean, Vietnamese, and Hindi (and English too!)- please ask the coordinator to be grouped with one of these Ambassadors, if you are interested.

3:15-5:30pm -- Office Open

• The school office will be open to process paperwork and answer questions.

4:00-4:45pm -- Back-to-School Open House

• Meet your student's teacher!!
• Drop off school supplies - however, please read your teacher’s welcome letter to know if your teacher prefers to NOT get supplies sent that day. Some teachers will not be ready to accept supplies from students.
• Classrooms will close promptly at 4:45pm. Please plan accordingly.

4:30pm-5:15pm -- PTA Ice Cream Social

• Canyon Creek PTA will host a FREE ice cream social in the covered play area next to the cafeteria.
• One sundae per person, please.
• Check out our PTA event and information tables!
• Spiritwear:
• Spiritwear (limited quantities) will be available to purchase with cash, check or credit card. All spiritwear will be available for online ordering following the Ice Cream Social. Learn about what will be available. 
• If you have questions about smaller or larger sizing, please contact our Spiritwear Chair for information and pricing. 
• Membership:
• Visit the Membership table to JOIN or RENEW your PTA membership*! Fill out the membership form and pay for your membership via cash, check or credit card.
• Or feel free to JOIN or RENEW your PTA membership* online prior to the Ice Cream Social! You WILL be eligible for the drawing!
• *All 2019-20 PTA members as of the end of the Ice Cream Social, will be entered to win one of a few prizes (each at least $25 in value). You do NOT need to be present to win! 2019-20 PTA Membership year begins on July 1st, 2019. 
• Many other PTA programs and events will have tables for information and volunteer signup - including: Watch D.O.G.S., Reflections, Art Docent Program and more!

Want to help make this a fantastic event? We would love your help! We need help with set-up, new family tours, ice cream/topping servers & clean-up. Middle & high school students are welcome!!
