Design Proposal Open House

You are invited to attend a special open house to preview the conceptual design for construction that -- if approved -- would add classroom space for both Skyview and Canyon Creek.

From 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 13, in the Skyview Junior High commons, you may view the conceptual design and ask questions of district leadership, school administrators, the capital projects team, and consultants. This is a drop-in event rather than a formal presentation.

The construction project has been proposed, though not confirmed, for a possible capital bond that could be presented to voters in February 2018. If the project is included in the bond and approved by voters, construction could begin as early as spring 2018 to be completed no later than September 2020.

The project, proposed by the district’s Enrollment Demographics Task Force, would:

• Add 24 to 30 classrooms that could serve both Skyview and Canyon Creek.
• Improve traffic circulation with additional entrances, bus loops and parking.
• Update some large-group areas in both schools to accommodate a growing population.

If you are unable to attend the March 13 open house, follow-up meetings are expected to be scheduled for late summer or early fall.
